Constructing large-scale human activity database
Recent years, research and development has been actively conducted to understand human activity using wearable sensors that include acceleration sensors, angular velocity sensors, magnetic sensors, barometers, and GPS. Many studies have developed various algorithms mostly for small(lab-sized) test data.
HASC(Human Activity Sensong Consortium) is a group of researchers who are interested in the field of human activity recognition. We also started new international workshop named "HASCA" (HASCA2019).
If human activity recognition becomes possible, we can expect a variety of context-aware services. Specifically, there are various devices and devices such as home appliances, eco-friendly by controlling air conditioning, recommendation of information according to the situation, efficiency of specific medical examinations, nursing support, etc. By these new services, the creation of new industries can be expected.
